Hike "il sentiero dei fiori"

The Sentiero dei Fiori is well known for a variety of reasons: the panoramic beauty, the historicity and the importance of the remains of the white war on the route and finally the dizzying catwalks! Sleeping in the hotel you can comfortably have breakfast around 7:30 am to 8:00 pm, in order to take the cable car at opening hours (free access for Opportunity Card holders). Arrived at Passo Paradiso take the path n ° 44 positioned on the right side not far from the ponds. From here you go up a canal, where you can find snow, with which you cross the Castellaccio Pass at 2960 meters. From here on, the route runs completely around the "3000 altitude". Continuing on the path, sometimes very exposed, you arrive at the "Gendarme of Casamadre", which can be overcome in two ways: using the ancient and dark tunnel about 65 meters long and dating back to the war period, or cross the walkways suspended in the void!

After passing the Casamadre Pass, you go through some canals, often covered with snow, to then reach the Corno di Lago Scuro where there is a bivouac. From the summit the most beautiful gift: a 360 ° panoramic view of some of the most famous mountains in the Alpine area such as the Bernina, the Ortles, the Cevedale and the Brenta Dolomites group. From here on, the walk continues to the left making you arrive at Passo Presena. Alternatively you can go up the Maroccaro Pass. Once in Passo Paradiso you can take the lift and go down to the hotel. Hike “il Dosso di Casa Madre”

The destination of this excursion is the Dosso di Casa Madre. Go along the state highway for 200 m approximately and, after the church of the Franciscan friars, turn right following the unpaved track towards the side of the mountain. From here on, follow the CAI trail mark (red and white) number 45; the path leads to the ancient aqueduct first, and after an hour to the wide hollow.

We suggest to continue uphill to reach the old military camps and enjoy a breathtaking view over Ponte di Legno and the Camonica Valley. The itinerary descends towards the valley, where, after crossing the bridge over the creek, you reach the halfway station of the cable car lift; following the mule-tracks and the path 45/a, you will reach the hotel in half an hour. There are no snack bars or restaurants along the way.

Hike “il sentiero della pace”

Use the cable car lift Paradiso to reach the foot of the glacier; leave the lift station, and on the left, take the path and after an hour walking you will reach the Presena glacier. The descend is not difficult, though you have to walk among drumlin rocks. Pass the plateau among winding brooks and big round stones, till reaching the unpaved route, which leads to the abandoned chair lift facility.

From here, walk along the mule track for an hour and a half, till reaching the entrance of the “fitness trail”; this last part of the itinerary is mostly flat and takes you right on the Tonale pass, near the ossuary. To go back to the hotel, just follow the state highway first, and then the unpaved road passing in front of the restaurant Faita.

Hike to Serodine mount

Right behind the hotel, you can see the awesome and lush Serodine mount: staying here, you cannot but enjoy an afternoon walk to the mountain. Take the path which leads to the terminal of the cable car lift Ponte di Legno - Tonale; from here, go along the mule-track till the mountain hut Nigritella. The route goes ahead, and after a steep slope, you reach malga Serodine, which is used as shelter by the shepherds of the area. Groundhogs are everywhere here and they are so tame that you can easily get close.

Going uphill, near the terminal of the chair lift, you can admire a small lake, surrounded by plumed white flowers, mirroring on the surface; from here on, the route descends following the ski slope Alpino, which leads you right behind the hotel. The view is awesome, and on the right, a bit off the path, there are several remains of war trenches. There are no snack bars or restaurants along the way.
